Alive99 – The latest Exhibition of the 99 Names of Allah by Art Noor at Dubai Mall

Inspired by the glorious name of Allah “Al Hayy” which means the living. His month long sessions to paint live at Dubai Mall, is a tribute to that name.

Opened in the beginning of Ramadan, this exhibition comprises of 40 of Noor’s latest paintings, which are exuberant and made with candid and energetic strokes.

Painter Art Noor, well known for his dedicated focus on the divine subject of the 99 beautiful names of Allah, explained the theme of Alive 99 collection

“Life is a divine gift created by the living who is also the eternal. Most of the paintings in this collection are both an interpretation and a celebration of that dynamic force, which surrounds us everywhere. The movement and the flow of perpetual energy is what fascinates me. In these works, I attempt to engage with my movement on the canvas with unpredictable randomness - a hallmark of life”

The rhythm of life is expressed through color- harmony here, contrast there, it’s a ceaseless flow. Old leaves die, new ones take their place.  Emotions, Passions, and Vulnerabilities coexist on the canvas and across many canvases. It’s an unending saga, a tiny fraction of which we experience as humans.

Being extensively displayed and advertised by the Dubai Mall inside the mall and their social media, it complements the flavor of Ramadan, and helps reinforce the cultural values of the region.

Aslam (Art) Noor, a resident of UAE since 2003, has done 11 solo exhibitions, and executed more than thousand paintings during this period of 15 years, on the subject of ‘Asma ul Husna – the beautiful names and attributes of Allah’

An established professional artist of the region, he paints out of his studio in Sharjah Airport International Free Zone. He considers this artistic endeavor a spiritual journey to explore and connect.

His paintings strive to explore the connection between the spirituality and art by allowing the moments and movements show through his strokes and choices without being confined to a predefined signature style.

“I don’t want to be a prisoner of my own making” as he said in an interview to an art critic. “I love the feeling of expectation and then reaching somewhere, I never knew existed. It’s the journey that I cherish, since the destination is unknown.”

That’s his way of being Alive.

Right under the dome with starry lights at Marina Mall, a special offering is being made for the visitors and shoppers during the holy month of Ramadan.

Painter Art (Aslam) Noor, who is well known for his focus on the subject of the 99 names of Allah, will be exhibiting and signing away some of his much sought after book on the subject.

The specially curated collection- Sublime99 consists of 40 works and be on display through Ramadan.

Inspired by the beauty of Asma Ul Husna, the contemporary paintings explore the divine attributes, through color, abstract expressionism, and the Arabic calligraphy with a fresh and energizing perspective.
